Summary of cover

A BMW Insured Warranty offers three levels of cover: Comprehensive, Named Component and DriveLine, with the option to include Roadside Assistance.

Comprehensive

Our highest level of protection. It covers the majority of your BMW’s components; it also includes wear and tear for covered components for the first 160,000 kilometres. Like our Named Component Warranty, this policy is only available for vehicles that have not covered more than 160,000 kilometres at the policy start date. It also has a maximum claim limit that is equal to the purchase price paid for the vehicle (including VAT and VRT).

Named Component

Our Named Component Cover provides mechanical and electrical breakdown cover for a wide range of your vehicle’s components. This policy can be purchased for any vehicle that has not completed more than 160,000 kilometres at the policy’s start date, and it has a maximum claim limit that is equal to the purchase price paid for the vehicle (including VAT and VRT).

DriveLine

Our DriveLine Warranty offers the most basic level of protection, but it still covers the main components that contribute to the engine, transmission and drive-train of your vehicle, and has a claim limit of €6,700.

Roadside Assistance

In addition to these, you can also buy BMW Roadside Assistance as a standalone policy or in conjunction with your BMW Insured Warranty product. When you purchase Roadside Assistance, you’ll receive a comprehensive range of benefits, including car hire, vehicle recovery and redelivery.

Please be aware that terms, conditions and exclusions apply to each of these policies. You can find these listed in the Policy Handbook.

Making a claim

All repairs must be carried out by an authorised BMW Retailer or BMW Service Workshop. Contact your nearest authorised BMW Retailer and inform them that your vehicle is protected by a BMW Insured Warranty.

The Retailer will arrange to investigate the fault and if it is covered they will process your claim.

You may also authorise repair work in the UK or Continental Europe if you breakdown while traveling abroad.

Please see the policy handbook for full details.
