What does Comprehensive Insured Warranty cover?

Comprehensive Insured Warranty covers your BMW's mechanical and electrical components for defects that may arise - with the exception of those items specified below:

Batteries, all exhaust components (except Catalytic Converter), brake and clutch facings, discs and drums, bulbs and fuses, channels and guides, weather strips and seals, handles, hinges and check straps, trim, upholstery and cosmetic finishes, wheels and tyres, wiper blades and arms, glass, auxiliary drive belts, coolant and fuel hoses, the cleaning or adjustment of any component, all service items which will require periodic replacement. However all insured components, even if the failure is due to normal degradaton (wear and tear), are included up to 160,000 km from the date of registration.

As this is an insurance product, does an excess apply?

You can choose a policy with or without an excess. The excess is payable on any claims you make on the policy. You can choose an excess of €0, €135 or €335.

Does BMW Insured Warranty include any additional benefits?

Yes. A facility for Republic of Ireland roadside recovery only - Warranty Assistance - is included with BMW Insured Warranty.

Please note that this service is limited to recovery to the nearest dealer within the Republic of Ireland only and is not a replacement for the full assistance services and benefits provided by BMW Roadside Assistance at home, elsewhere or on the road in the Republic of Ireland, the UK and Continental Europe.

BMW Roadside Assistance cover is available as an option with all BMW Insured Warranty policies.

What is the maximum claim limit for Comprehensive Insured Warranty?

The claim limit for Comprehensive Insured Warranty is the purchase price paid for the vehicle (inclusive of VAT and VRT).

Can I purchase BMW Roadside Assistance at the same time as Insured Warranty?

Yes. Simply select the option to include BMW Roadside Assistance when you take out your BMW Insured Warranty policy.

Are there any restrictions on which vehicles can be covered by Comprehensive Insured Warranty?

Comprehensive cover is available for vehicles that have covered no more 160,000km (or the equivalent in miles) at the time of purchasing the warranty. The BMW Insured Warranty will not cover any vehicle that is used for private hire or courier services. This includes, hire and reward, taxi or chauffeur services.

What options are available for vehicles with mileage over 160,000 km?

If your vehicle has covered 160,000 km or more, you can still take out a DriveLine Insured Warranty policy.

How do I purchase a BMW Insured Warranty policy for my vehicle?

Please be aware that to get a quotation you will need your vehicle registration number and the exact current mileage of your car. If you were sent a reminder letter you also will require the PIN and login name detailed on it.

What assistance will I receive if I opt for BMW Insured Warranty without Roadside Assistance?

Should you choose not to include Roadside Assistance with your BMW Insured Warranty, Warranty Assistance will only provide recovery to the nearest Authorised BMW Dealer or BMW Service Authorised Workshop in the event of immobilisation more than one kilometre away from your home address.
