How long will BMW Insured Emergency Service cover me for?

Your BMW Insured Emergency Service cover will last for 12 months from the day it commences.

How do I know whether I have an existing BMW Insured Emergency Service Policy?

Provided your vehicle was registered from new in the Republic of Ireland and not imported, you are automatically entitled to three years BMW Insured Emergency Service cover from the date of first registration. BMW Insured Emergency Service is also included within a valid BMW Extended Warranty or Approved Used Car Warranty. If I have BMW Insured Emergency Service already will I receive notification about renewing my cover before it expires?

Yes, you will receive a postal reminder from BMW Insured Emergency Service one month prior to your expiry date. If you are unsure when your policy expires, please call BMW Emergency Service on 1800 940 201. Lines are open 08:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday and 9:00 to 13:00 on Saturday, excluding public holidays.

If I arrange BMW Insured Emergency Service today, when does the cover start?

Cover will commence 24 hours following your instruction, subject to payment authorisation.

If you have an existing BMW Insured Emergency Service policy, cover begins from the expiry date of your current policy.

Will the policy cover anyone who drives the vehicle?

The policy covers your vehicle; therefore any driver will receive assistance if required.

Is cover transferable to another car?

No, cover is not transferable between vehicles, although if you sell your BMW privately then you are able to register the policy to the new owner should you so wish.

What do I do if I need assistance?

Should you require BMW Insured Emergency Service, call the emergency freephone number 1 800 409 900 from the Republic of Ireland, or 00353 1 637 3608 from abroad.

Is there a discount if I own more than one BMW?

No, unfortunately there are no discounts available.

Am I covered for all faults?

What happens if my vehicle needs to go into an Authorised BMW Dealer or BMW Service Authorised Workshop?

We will keep you mobile in the most appropriate manner to your circumstances, if a replacement vehicle is required we will arrange this for two working days. The duration is extended if you require assistance in Continental Europe.

Can I expect any assistance if I have a BMW Insured Warranty policy but opt not to include BMW Emergency Service in my policy?

Yes. A facility for Republic of Ireland roadside recovery only - Warranty Assist - is included with BMW Insured Warranty.

Please note that this service is limited to recovery to the nearest Authorised BMW Dealer or BMW Service Authorised Workshop within the Republic of Ireland only and is not a replacement for the full assistance services and benefits provided by BMW Insured Emergency Service at home, elsewhere or on the road in the Republic of Ireland, the UK and Continental Europe. BMW Insured Emergency Service cover is available as an option with all BMW Insured Warranty policies.
